Description
Cité de Carcassonne is a medieval fortress in France, restored in 1853 and added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997. The town has been occupied for 2,500 years, but the Romans fortified the citidel by 333AD. It has 1.9 miles of walls and 52 towers. This is the bridge at the main entrance.
